Sebastian Cocioba is a NYC based DYI Bioengineer who specializes in plant genetics. For our trip to Bonaire Sebastian brought his PCR machine and centrifuge to determine the identity of various plankton species. Currently, he is sequencing a variety of marker genes of a yet to be identified cyanobacteria we discovered in a drinking well along a mangrove ecosystem.
